General

  1. To make a reservation you need a valid credit card. Your credit card will be debited at the time of booking by AboutRooms.com Ltd. You will only be required to pay the hotel directly for any other services you take during your stay.
  2. It is your responsibility to ensure that all the information provided by you is correct at the time of submission.
  3. Similarly we also require you to check the details of your reservation confirmation to ensure that all details are correct. Any errors need to be notified to reservations@aboutrooms.com immediately. Failure to do so may result in your credit card being charged an incorrect amount or for late cancellations. If they are not exactly what you expected please advice us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to make the necessary changes to your reservation.
  4. Your booking reference number must be kept confidential, AboutRooms.com will not be responsible for the results of any malicious interference in your travel plans should these details be revealed.
  5. All confirmations of reservations are made in good faith. From time to time there may be circumstances that mean we are unable to provide the exact requirements of your reservation. When this happens we will contact you at the earliest possible time to advise you of this situation and to offer you a suitable alternative. Should you not wish to accept this alternative AboutRooms.com will fully refund the credit card and cancel the reservation. In the case of any resultant loss or liability would only extend to the cost of the accommodation booked and will not extend to travel or other related costs.
  6. AboutRooms.com is an agent and does not provide the accommodation itself. If you are not completely satisfied with your accommodation please advise us and we will endeavour to assist you in dealing with any issues you may have. Ultimately however the customer satisfaction and the quality of the service and product at the hotel is the sole responsibility of the hotel and the responsibility for discussion on these issues will rest between the traveller and the relevant hotel.

Need to Cancel?

  1. Cancellations made 2 days prior to arrival, before midday, are free. If you wish to cancel any of your reservations, you should do it through this site by selecting the 'Order history' link or if you are a registered account holder use the 'My account' link, enter your reservation details in the form on that page.
  2. Cancellations made less than 2 days prior to the date of arrival will be chargeable. If you are within this 2 day period you may still cancel the reservation in the same way as above through the 'Order history' or if you are a registered account holder use 'My account' option. Please be aware, however, that although we will cancel your reservation, your credit card will be charged for the first night's accommodation.
  3. It is imperative that cancellations are made in this way as the system will then date and time stamp your instruction to cancel, this cannot be guaranteed in the same way if the cancellation is done by email. We cannot be responsible for any cancellations made directly with the hotel.

More than 2 people in the room?

  1. Hotel policies on accommodating more than two people in the room will vary from hotel to hotel. For this type of requirement you will be required to request the accommodation required. Please contact us by email on reservations@aboutrooms.com or by phone on +44 20 7584 6454.
  2. Policies on accommodating children will also vary from hotel to hotel, however all of our hotels will allow a child under the age of 3 years to share their parents room. Older children may well also be allowed to share their parents room, but as policy may vary we ask that you please contact us at reservations@aboutrooms.com or by phone on +44 20 7584 6454.

Information on the site

  1. Much of the information on the site is supplied by the hotels. Whilst we have taken every care to quality control this data, the information on the site is provided “as is” and aboutrooms.com makes no warranties as to the correctness of the information. We will not be liable for any losses arising from use of the information that is presented on the site.
  2. We consider areas which are within 10 minutes walk of the hotel to be part of its location. This is a rough approximation, and if you are at all concerned, please contact one of our specialist reservation consultants who will be happy to clarify just how far the hotel is from the specific location you are interested in.
  3. From time to time aboutRooms.com will link its site to those of third parties. When this occurs customers should be aware that we have no control of the content or operation of these sites. aboutRooms.com cannot be held responsible for the content of the site to which it is linked and we will not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused through the use of goods or services on these sites.

Cookies and other techie stuff

  1. We do not allow third party cookies on this site.
  2. We do however use cookies to track and maintain your shopping basket and provide you with a more efficient service the next time you call. We send two types of cookie to your machine:
    1. The cookies used to track and maintain your shopping basket expire as soon as you close your browser or when you have completed the booking process.
    2. A second semi permanent cookie, that expires after 12 months, stores information ready for your next visit. None of the cookies used store credit card or payment information.
  3. Please note that your browser must be set to accept cookies, unfortunately without this you will be unable to complete the on-line reservation process. In such a situation you can of course call our specialist reservations consultants on +44 20 7584 6454.
  4. All pages where personal information is transferred are encrypted using 128bit encryption (currently the strongest available) using a Thawte secure certificate. If you are unsure about security, please do not continue, simply call our office to speak to a reservations specialist on +44 20 7584 6454.
  5. Whilst we endeavour to keep the site well protected we cannot guarantee that it will be free of infection from viruses.
